First of all, ask for your cake to be delivered FREE!  Remember, there are many places to order your cake and the decorator knows that and wants your business. If delivering your wedding cake at no charge is all it takes to get your business, then it is a no brainer that they deliver it for FREE. Keep in mind, if you don’t ASK, you don’t GET!

If they refuse to deliver at no charge and you are certain that this is the only place you can order your cake and be forever satisfied that you did, then ask what the savings would be if you pick it up yourself instead of having it delivered.

Depending on where your reception is held in comparison to where you ordered your cake the delivery fee can reach $60 or more, and a $100 delivery charge is not unheard of.  However, ask a friend or family member to actually pick it up for you, as the morning of your wedding will be hectic enough without you trying to work a trip to the bakery into your schedule!
